Handmade fair trade Kantha bedcover using vintage cotton sari fabric - reversible
Kantha (meaning: “patched cloth”) refers to both the tradition of producing these unique, quilted blankets (making something useful and beautiful out of discarded items), as well as the craft and stitch itself (a small, straight running stitch).
These large plaids are made from upcycled sari (local traditional women's clothing in India) after being washed and selected by colour.
Each of them has a unique pattern and colour and are gorgeous examples of circular deco products and stitched by hand in our workshop in India. Every plaid is unique. There are no 2 exactly the same bedcovers on the whole world. That's amazing: the holder of one of our large plaids, will be the only person on the whole world having this specific plaid.
Dimension: 250 cm * 250 cm. Material: recycled and upcycled local vintage cotton sari fabric; the stitch is made of organic cotton.
Colour schemes: Pastel, Dark Vibes, Green Glow, Cool Blue, Red Flame, Yellow and Orange, Pink and Purple, Eclectic.
100% handmade in India, from start to finish!
