Our financials.

2024

Every contribution matters—and so does how it's spent. Our 2024 financial overview gives a clear and honest picture of how we allocate resources to create lasting change. By sharing our financials openly, we invite you to see not just the numbers, but the values behind them.

Social business in action

Solid Crafts is the business side of our model, creating fair employment for underprivileged women in Peru, India, and Kenya—with Peru currently representing the largest share. By combining social impact with entrepreneurship, we aim to multiply every euro invested and generate income that drives further growth. On the long term, our vision is to build a self-sustaining model—where business success directly supports lasting social change.

Steady growth

Since our founding in 2017, we’ve experienced steady and encouraging growth—apart from the temporary impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Over a five-year period, we achieved a total growth of 54%, with a particularly strong boost in 2022. This growth was largely driven by the professionalization of our B2C sales through the TalesBySolid brand, which strengthened our consumer reach and impact. Despite its commercial success, the B2C channel was cost-intensive, leading to the strategic decision at the end of 2023 to discontinue it and focus fully on the more scalable and sustainable B2B model.

*Please note that figures for 2017 and 2018 are not available with detailed breakdowns by country of origin. Additionally, the reported sales figures reflect only revenue generated in Belgium. While direct sales from Peru are not included in these numbers, they do represent a meaningful portion of our overall activity.

Funding Our Social Projects

Our social projects are funded primarily through donations, with around 70% of our donors based in Belgium. Most contributions are tied to specific initiatives, supporting vital work in areas like education, healthcare, and community development.

Only a small percentage of funds goes to project management and operating costs—carefully kept to a minimum, yet essential to ensure quality, transparency, and long-term impact. Every euro is used with care to maximize its value for the communities we serve.

Where Your Donations Go

This graph shows how donations are distributed across our social projects. 95% of the funds currently go to Peru, where the social part of our work is the most developed and has the largest impact. A smaller share supports our growing initiatives in India and Kenya.
