Hello !  I reached out to Solid in 2019 in search of volunteering opportunities with a non-profit organisation. I used to live in Kenya and I visited Peru on a very memorable and beautiful trip after finishing Uni, so I felt an instant connection to the projects that Solid supports. Last year I was helping to gather information for a Fair Wage Report for Hadithi Crafts (the Sisal Basket Weaving project in Kenya). I was hoping to make a trip to Kenya to meet Lore who is running the project, and the local weavers to help collect the data needed for this report. Sadly COVID meant that I couldn’t visit Kenya, but I stayed in contact with Lore and Inge, and we tried to gather what information we could from a distance.
